People In Partnership Announces the Launch of a Fiscal Sponsorship Nonprofit Organization

Charleston, SC – People In Partnership is excited to announce the official launch of their 501(c)(3) nonprofit fiscal sponsorship program (to the broader public). People In Partnership will serve South Carolina by partnering with programs that educate and advance opportunities to build healthy communities primarily through economic development and social service  initiatives.

A fiscal sponsor is a nonprofit organization that provides fiduciary oversight, financial management, and other administrative services to help build the capacity of charitable projects. By partnering with a fiscal sponsor, projects can seek and receive tax-exempt contributions and grant support without delay while they work to build their projects. People In Partnership believes their organization will serve the community through increasing the access and capacity to make change on a local level. They provide the foundation for growth in charitable actions that can only serve to better the lives of many. They believe their impact can be as big as your ambition to make change.

“Our mission is to help you identify your mission and then give you the tools to begin your successful nonprofit.”

“Since the pandemic, we’ve been working with a handful of projects, but we have seen an increase in the need for fiscal sponsorship. In response, we have expanded our capacity and are looking forward to opening up our services to the greater Charleston and South Carolina community,” says Jennifer Abrusia, PIP Executive Administrator.

People In Partnership (PIP) was incorporated as a nonprofit in 2010 and established its sponsorship program in 2020. This is the official release of the NPO to the broader public so they can be of greater service to our community. Based in Charleston, SC, PIP supports projects that focus on community development and education within the state of South Carolina. Based on Fiscal Sponsorship: 6 Ways to Do It Right, by Greg Colvin, PIP’s model(s) of fiscal sponsorship are Model A, Direct Projects and Model C, Preapproved Grant Relationships. Through its partners, PIP is able to offer a continuum of nonprofit administration services and consulting including strategic planning, fundraising, reporting and donor stewardship.

Those interested in applying for fiscal sponsorship to support their charitable project can do so through the Eligibility Form on the People in Partnership website.
